Ms. Misbah Shahid, Program Director

Misbah Shahid is a dedicated educator and leader with over 15 years of experience in education and development. She plays a key role at the Shama Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), where she has overseen the institute’s growth from 15 students to over 100, ensuring quality education and holistic development for students from deserving backgrounds.

Misbah is also the visionary behind the Mercy Mission Fellowship Program, a nine-month initiative designed to give young graduates hands-on experience in the social sector. Additionally, she has made significant contributions to Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), having led the creation of the Indian Social and Emotional Learning Framework (ISELF). Her work continues to impact education and youth development across India.

Mr. Veeresh B S, Administrative Head

Mr. Veeresh B.S. has a remarkable career spanning over 27 years in laboratory operations and 15 years in hospital management. He holds an MSc in Biochemistry, which laid the foundation for his extensive experience and expertise in the medical field.

Since joining HBS Hospital in 2012, Mr. Veeresh has risen through the ranks to become the General Manager, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing the hospital’s day-to-day operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. His leadership and strategic vision have driven the hospital’s growth and success.

In addition to his role at HBS Hospital, Mr. Veeresh also serves as the Administrative Head at Shama Institute of Medical Sciences, where he contributes his vast knowledge and management skills to the institution’s development. His dual roles highlight his dedication and commitment to advancing healthcare and education.

Ms. Heena Firdose, Faculty

Heena Firdose is a highly experienced educator with a Master's in Botany and over seven years of teaching expertise in biology. Known for her unwavering dedication to student success, she views education as a powerful tool for personal and societal growth.

Her volunteer work with the Lifeline Foundation further highlights her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the classroom. Since 2021, Heena has been an integral part of the core team at Shama Institute of Medical Sciences, where her selflessness and passion for education have inspired countless students. Her purpose-driven approach to teaching reflects her deep belief in the betterment of future generations.

Dr Shabnam Murshid, Senior Faculty

Dr. Shabnam Murshid is an academic and research professional with over seven years of experience in teaching, research, and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Faculty at the Shama Institute of Medical Sciences, she has made significant contributions to the academic success of her students. Her expertise extends beyond the classroom, with a robust research background.

Dr. Murshid's dedication to education and research is further evidenced by her numerous publications in international journals and her leadership in organizing academic events that engage and inspire students from various institutes. She is a gold medalist in M.Tech (Biotechnology) from SRM University and holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, with her research contributions earning recognition on various platforms.
